I spent 20 years in the Medical Field, 12 of those years working for Hospice, the 2 Largest Hospice Care Providers in the Nation. I Began with VITAS in Can. in 1993 as a CHHA, then advanced to Team Coordinator/PCS, and after completing my B.A. in Business Administration in 2001, advanced to an Admissions Coordinator. In 2002 I resigned and switched to Odyssey Hospice to work "locally" with the Patient Care Team instead of a Remote Call Center Setting. I assisted the General Manager with Administrative Duties, performed the Duties of Admissions Coordinator, and Community Education Representative. I am a natural caregiver, I "thrive" in the Patient Care Setting. Having made a HUGE impact on the lives of Patients, Their Families, and outside Caregivers allowed me to utilize my "gift" while working as a CHHA with Hospice. I was able to further utilize this Gift work in the Team Coordinator and Admissions Coordinator Setting. I not only have the "natural gift" of being a caregiver, I honed and shared my gift and skills as the Head of a Restorative Nursing Department at Grossmont Gardens in LA Mesa, Ca. It was from here that I was recruited" into Hospice. I was also certified to teach Advanced First Aid, Basic Cardiac Life Support (as a Professional Provider CPR Instructor), worked as an EMT with Higgins District Fire Department and Certified as a Nursing Assistant.
