* Vital signs/measurements are taken and recorded in the EMR * Prepares patient and assists provider with exams/treatments/procedures * Administers Subcutaneous, Intradermal and Intramuscular injections * Provides basic life support (BLS) / Automated External Defibrillator (AED) as needed * Performs EKGs as requested Pulmonary Function Testing * Provides basic lab procedures/collects lab specimens * Performs phlebotomy functions * Schedules diagnostic studies * Manages prescription refills as authorized by provider * Conducts patient education and provides after-visit documentation as appropriate; schedules follow-up appointment as appropriate * Adheres to infection control / safety guidelines and is able to demonstrate the difference between sterile and aseptic technique * Demonstrates proficiency in use of electronic medical record and passes training test appropriate to role. * Processes messages and responds to patients in a timely fashion (as defined by the institution based on message priority classification) * Obtains point of care lab results and documents results in the medical record appropriately * Performs patient care at the top of the Certified Medical Assistant scope of practice

I go to peoples home to help them with house work, laundry, cooking. Teach them how to use electronics, take them grocery shopping. However this company does not allow any physical care of the seniors. It acts as a companion service to help the elderly.
