It feels like I have been a caregiver all my life. As a young girl I helped with the care of my elderly grandmother. From them on I was always the one all my friends and family came to for help. After I got married and had my two children and took care of them until they were in school I looked around for something to do. I saw an ad for Certified Nurses Aide training at a local hospital and decided that was perfect for me. I loved the training and working in the hospital but after 2 years I wanted to work one on one with my patients. So I went to work for one client at a time. It was wonderful to be able to take care of all my clients needs each time I was there. The best thing that happened for me, was when my clients and family would say "We can't imagine what we would have done without your help. After 20 years it is still the best job I've ever had.

I will be their for them if needed. You have to be patient understanding caring know their needs and provide lots of TLC. Within that 14years of my caring for her I was able to help her family and the client to make a decision for the client to under go knee surgery.
