You have to have compassion and treat clients with respect and dignity. Always let them feel they are still independent not treating them like a child. I had my own Adult Family Care Home and I specialized with Dementia residents. I am a dependable, caring and loving individual and I would never treat them any less or make them feel any less than the adults they are.
