i love taking care of everyone.... pets as well. i have been taking care of people since i was 10 years old. my great grandmother was living with us at the time and i use to help her get dressed and help her get on the bedside commode. occasionally wiped her as well. when my other great grandmother was in the nursing home i always wanted to go so i could feed her and do her hair. as an adult i graduated from concorde career institute in 2006 as a patient care tech and cna. i have worked as a caregiver and cna for 3 years caring for 2 elderly women in their home. as they lived together. i was responsible for their full bed baths,preparing meals,checking their blood pressure and sugar levels,as they were both diabetic. and administered their insulin shots,i did their laundry,dressed them in the morning and in the evenings. also have taken them outside to the park,doctors appointments,restaurants.i have used a hoya lift and i had to repeatedly lift and transfer them as needed. i just want to help those who need the extra love and attention as well as boost their confidence. i treated them like they were my family and they have done the same. it brings me peace and joy to know i have helped someone and brought them any type of comfort... i feel like its my life duty
