About Ashley

I have always had a passion for helping others. I became a caregiver because I wanted to make a difference in others' lives. I crave to assist with helping others live their life to their full possible potential. I fell into the field of assisting those with developmental disabilities and understood my true purpose of how I was suppose to assist individuals. Taking care of my grandmother who lived a wonderful 92 years enlightened me of others who truly needed my assistance as well. I want others to experience the deserving care my grandmother was fortune to be provided. Being a care giver is not just a job but a passion with a big responsibilities that has to come from within. A personal achievement I am proud of is recently care taking for an elderly woman who I assisted with living her life to her full potential. I kept her mind stimulated and her motor skills sharp as much as possible up until hospice stages. Something I would like everyone to know about me is I am 25 years old, dependable and passionate person in my every day life that has certification to state it on paper.

Care giving has been my passion since I helped care for my father who suffered with congestive heart failure & diabetes. The last senior I cared for told me that I was one of the kindest people he had ever met. The elderly has a wealth of knowledge that they love to share about life and their experiences. I enjoy their appreciation for being their caregiver and they seem so grateful. I treat them the same way I would like to be treated and the way I would like my family members to be treated if needed care. As one of the noblest professions, a caregiver has much to offer in terms of compassion and care.

I became a care giver after my husband became ill with cancer. The treatment he got in the hospital and hospice makes me sick to my stomach. Especially the way some nurses spoke to him. I then decided to become a CNA so I can help him and the other patients who really need proper care. To treat every one of my patients the way I would like to be treated if and when I get sick. Other words treat them the way I want to be treated. My personal achievement that I'm proud off is right after giving my client his bath on 10/28/14, he hold my hand and told me thank you for everything, and I love you then took his last breath. That told me for the five years I was taking care of him I was doing a good job. My name Jenette, I've been a CNA for 19 years. Worked at Lincoln Hospital in NY as a PCT for 5 years. Moved from NY to Atlanta GA where I've worked as a CNA or Home Health Aid for 12 years. I love my job very much. Taking care of the sick is what I do, and I do it to the best of my knowledge.
