I am a calm, compassionate, and reliable person, who pays close attention to detail and communicates clearly. I genuinely enjoy helping others feel supported, comfortable, and seen. What I enjoy most is building meaningful connections and bringing peace and consistency to someone's day. I am especially proud of my growth in patience and boundaries, which allows me to care for others in a healthy and sustainable way. My understanding of caregiving comes from both personal experience and my educational background in Health Science. I wholeheartedly know both the challenges of feeling responsible for someone's care, being put in the caregiver role when it was not a choice, and also the honor of freely choosing to be there for a loved one. For 30+ years, I have been the person who provided emotional support, transportation to appointments, and help through medical crisis and recoveries. I have also helped with family meals and gatherings, managing paperwork related to government benefits, and assisting live-in adult children, in accessing those resources as well.That experience taught me how demanding caregiving can be, but it also showed me the value of compassionate support. Today, I choose caregiving because I genuinely enjoy helping others. When I say yes to caring for someone, it comes from a place of kindness, respect, and a sincere desire to make a positive difference in someone's life.
