I am responsible for my clients emotional & physical well being. I take pride in the work I provide. I always go the extra mile.. My responsibilities as follows: Prepare meals- according to clients diet, I deep clean homes, light yard work, showers/bed baths, laundry, errands, phone calls etc./ Dr. Visits, Outings- lunch, library, walks, or drive around community etc, play board games/ cards, skin and wound care, check vitals, and blood sugar, and Assist in dressing and feeding/ or dress and feed, encourage to drink fluids, and exercise according to PT/OT. Listen to music, watch television, engage w/ my clients by talking and finding out their interest, child hood, and family etc. One of my biggest accomplishments was when I cared for someone w/ dementia. I was able to help her regain some of her memory back by singing and listening to her favorite music w/ her. We would play board games. I would ask her questions: how to spell certain words, on her level, and her name. We would count together and I would read books to her. We would also take walks.. I try to create a friendly, caring, fun, safe, and loving environment for my clients. I absolutely love being a caregiver. Care giving is my calling. I have many references as well regarding my abilities as a caregiver.
