Compassion and empathy are my greatest attributes. I have cared for my clients post a massive stroke which included diaper changes, washing, Hoyer Lift, feeding, medication management, advocate for there care, navigating Medicare/Medicaid and SSI/SSD, house cleaning, food shopping, etc. I understand paralysis, stroke, speech impediment, palliative and hospice care, oxygen dependent, chronic aspiration and feeding tube, to name a few examples. I assisted for several years with respite care. My clients have needed assistance with insulin dependent (medication management), had Alzheimer's/Dementia and could no longer speak and was also bed bound. Should you/your loved one require care after an operation, I have experience with this as well. I have worked in the medical field for almost two decades in radiology offices and as a licensed massage therapist providing therapy for Multiple Sclerosis, Sickle Cell Anemia, Edema, Fibromyalgia, chronic headaches, Sciatica to name a few. Life has directed me, as a calling would a religious leader, to caregiving. The role I wish to take during my waking hours is to care for those who have difficulties in being 100% independent. Empathy is in my "job description" and my "resume." The Enneagram and Myers-Briggs personality outcome-I am a caregiver and advocate (INFJ). Caring for another human is what I believe all humans were put here to do; to help each other through this journey in whatever gifts we have to offer. I enjoy others company and have a sense of true purpose by providing someone a sense of freedom in assisting them, encouraging confidence and an overall easier time of the human experience. Aside from helping other humans, I have rescued over two-hundred dogs and counting. Currently I volunteer my time with the Humane Society. I enjoy cooking and watching others enjoy my flavorful dishes.
