Hello, I'm Courtney! What makes me a great caregiver is that I've had many different types of experience caring for and treating the geriatric population, which is one of my great passions! I strongly believe that those who are patient, excellent listeners, adaptable, creative, compassionate, and empathetic can make a wonderful caregiver. I grew up in a one-horse town in Roscoe, NY with my family and helped take care of my elderly grandmother from a very young age. Most of the tasks I'd help her with are comparable to my present professional experiences in Occupational Therapy! I feel like being a caregiver is an innate ability within us all and we all have capabilities to help others in need. I love the idea of helping people in their natural environments for the sole purpose of making activities meaningful and relevant to what they need to do, have to do, or want to do! For this reason, I am most proud of helping my previous clients find resources in their respected communities to attain needed pieces of durable medical equipment such as rolling walkers, wheelchairs, rollators, etc.
