I did not always know what I wanted to do until my mother became ill in 2000, and I was her sole caregiver. She was a great woman of god, who was a foster parent in her younger years, caring for many children of all races. After my mother passed, I knew I wanted to become a caregiver and help as many elderly adults live out their last days being just as happy as their first. I know that I may one day need someone to care for me and I pray that they are as kind, caring, and compassionate as I am. It brings me so much joy to see my patients smile at my efforts of making them feel safe, loved, and important while keeping their dignity intact. Caring for others is my purpose and I rest peacefully at night knowing my destiny has been fulfilled!
