About Armeka

1. becoming a caregiver was passed down to me from my mother. as a young child I have always enjoyed helping others. I watched my mother and how good she was with the elderly and I loved how happy she made them when she was taking care of them. 2. I love,love,love being a caregiver to the elderly. It warms my heart to know that I am assisting those that can't take care of themselves like they use to. giving them that feeling of know that when I am taking care of them they feel safe and secure with me performing my duties. 3. I am extremely proud that I have accomplished things in my life that I didn't think I could do on my own. I am proud that I graduated from college as a Medical Assistant and I am still aiming for higher achievements. I am proud that I am the role model for my children and they tell me how proud of me they are. there are so many things that I can say that I am proud of, but I will stop there. 4. I strive hard to do a great job at whatever I am doing. I am outgoing and optimistic about life. I believe that life is too short to stay angry and I am always putting others feelings and concerns before my own. I do all that I can to help someone even if they refuse I try to encourage them to see a better and more positive side of things, Last but not least I NEVER GIVE UP!!

I'm very patient, caring, dependable and responsible with over 25 years experience, Carelinx is part time now as I am a full-time CPA for Home Instead Senior Care. I began caregiving as a child. Growing up my mother was very sick and in and out of the hospital. She struggled with COPD, Cancer, and a number of other illnesses. She passed away when I was a young woman. When I was in my early 20s I worked at a personal care home with about 15 residents. I was the only caregiver on duty most of the time. I gained a lot of experience working with Alzheimer's, stroke, and diabetics during that time. Afterwards I began working with a quadriplegic. I gained a lot of experience working with hoyers, lifts, special vehicles that have belts, and lifts for electrical wheel chairs, etc. At that time I also became familiar with bowel treatment and care for urine bags, etc. After my patient moved to another state I began to care for a retired military gentleman with whom I worked with for almost 12 years. He passed away in July of 2018. I took a long break from caring for people after he passed. I enjoy helping people. I genuinely care for and about people. It has always been rewarding for me. It helps me to feel good about who I am, knowing that I've actually made someone else's life better.
