My name is Emily Yates and I'm 25 years old. I have worked as a Direct Care Professional for many years assisting clients with their daily living including, meal prep, housekeeping, medication, transporting, appointment and many others. I'm also CPR and First Aid Certified. Here is a little background about me. I was born in Liberia West Africa and came to the united state in 2007 when I was 14 years old. I graduated high school in 2011 and went to college a week after high school. I was accepted into a scholarship program right after high school and started college that summer after graduating. Prior to entering college I knew I wanted to study psychology and become a marriage and family counselor but after taking few general ed. classes, I became excited and wanted to studying everything! In fact I remembered changing my major like 4 times. Long story short, I ended up staying 5 years in college and graduated with a double major in Fashion design and psychology and a minor in human development and family study. After graduating college I decided to move to Atlanta to pursuit my career in fashion design. When I arrived God had another plan for me. In fact, I was hired few days after arrival to be a makeup artist for a movie production. I had no clue that my hobby was now going to be my new career. Along with doing movies, I work as a direct care professional and luxury sales at Pottery Barn kids. When I came across this site, I knew this will be the perfect job for me being that it is something very familiar and I have lots of experience in. I love helping and assisting people and creating a positive impact to their lives. This kind of work brings me joy and a sense of purpose. I will love to be a part of making my new clients world easier! ... more
