I became a caregiver because I have always loved the elderly. I am very helpful and energetic. I took care of my grandmother for 2 years until she passed. I am currently working at a facility of 18 residents that I do vaious duties for such as cook meals, clean and do laundry. Also, I give medication, bathe & help with incontinence problems. There are diabetics that i take care of also as well as asthma and stroke patients. My goal is to make sure they are happy, healthy and clean. I just feel overwhelmed with the amount of people I'd rather work with one person that i can give my undivided attention to. I have a humanitarian spirit and I always have a smile on my face. I feel that someday I will need someone to take care of me and I treat them the way I want to be treated. ... more
