About Mari

Hello, I am Mari and I am a healer by nature. Certified in Thai Yoga bodywork and a former chef are just some of the skills I provide for my patients. They are not the most important however. I receive intense fulfillment in providing not just physical care for my patients, but in the personal connections I am able form with them. I first began care giving 6 months ago. My Mom is an in home private nurse and thus my compassion developed at a young age. Even though I have moved back to Atlanta, I am still in weekly communication with all of my patients and several of their family members. I have extensive experience with dementia and with patients who are in need of full care including non transferable patients. I have worked with patients suffering from COPD that require breathing treatments and 24 hr oxygen. As for my personal information, I am 39 and I live in the Atlanta area. I consider myself to be honest, noble and most importantly compassionate.

I was a substitute personal care giver for Mrs. Ann Brewer when her full time care giver, Connie Neal, needed time off. Ann requires full care, and cannot transfer by herself. I was responsible for changing and cleaning her diapers as needed and helping her on and off of the toilet. Often times we had to use a bedpan and a urinal jug. Daily duties included laundry, meal prep, prepping breathing treatments taken for COPD, cleaning of the home and caring for her 2 dogs and 1 cat. Ann requires full oxygen and is confined mostly to her home.

I was employed by Mrs. Sue Hamby from May of 2018 through September of 2018 for the job of being her mothers caregiver. Beulah Morgan (patient) is 90 yrs old and has advanced dementia as well as the inability to perform most basic functions unassisted. I stayed in the home with Beulah and her husband Lewis three days a week to help provide relief for the family who were exhausting themselves with 24 hour care. I assisted fully with all bathing, restroom visits including diaper removal and cleaning patient, cleaning of the home, washing of clothing and massage therapy for both Lewis and Beulah.
