About Lisa

I became a caregiver simply by accident. My mother was a private sitter and she really needed a break to go shopping and run some errands. I told her that I would give her a break, and there you have it, I found my calling. I enjoy the company of the elderly and their wisdom. My personal achievement would be raising my two beautiful daughters as well as 5 grandchildren. I am a single female with a loving heart and time to give. As I said before, I enjoy the company, the stories and the wisdom that comes with being a patient care tech. I have two daughters and 5 grandchildren. My time and devotion are given to them when I am not working. I moved to Georgia to try and branch out and find the work I enjoy but find my independence as well. I am a hard worker, dependable and prompt.

Life is about caregiving. When I was younger, I cared for a widow for several years until her death. I cared for my mother for six months until her death from ALL. I have had three caregiving positions which were compensatory. My last position ( as part of a team) was of long duration, but recently ended when the family opted to place their loved one in a memory care facility. I have cared for the elderly in my neighborhood, visiting, cooking, shopping etc. on a "good neighbor" basis. I retired in 2014 from my last career position in the medical field. Although I am not qualified to be a medical caregiver, I am medically savvy and have proven that I can handle emergencies should any arise. I consider myself a very nurturing person.
