What makes me a good caregiver is my the patience I exercise to my clients in my care especially difficult ones. I used to care for my mother in law who had dementia before she passed away in 2015. She wasn't easy to care for but someone had to help her and I was the one who did it daily. I believe we should take care of our elderly population just as we would like when we become elderly ourselves. I get a special kind of satisfaction from taking care of others. One achievement that first comes to mind is my special ability to communicate with people who suffer with Alzheimer's and other types of dementia. It makes me feel great that I play a part in making their lives a little easier.
