I think I am a excellent caregiver simply because I love to help people!! I am compassionate and enjoy creating a better quality of life for the disabled. I am gentle, understanding and considerate of patient needs and preferences. I create a positive and drama free environment. I pay attention to extreme detail and strive for perfection. My approach is always friendly, even when patients become irritated and or non-compliant. I am able to cook, clean, feed, shower, transfer, toilet and transport patients. I have excellent organization skills. I enjoy being a caregiver when I see positive changes in patients which have given up on hope. Seeing them smile everyday I come to work because they know they are in good hands when I arrive! Watching the transition of patients outlook on life become more positive and exciting. Making them feel like they are someone, like they matter as much as anyone else. Mentoring patients to be strong and confident showing them that some of the small obstacles in life can be achieved. I am very easy to talk to and have been told on several occasions by patients that their quality and outlook on life has changed tremendously! What a reward!! Family members of patients have also said the thing. Some of the family members have been completely shocked at the turn around of the patients behavior and demeanor being that no one has reached them as I have. I have been noticed for these traits ever since I stepped foot into this profession. Its literally a blessing to all!
