I've been a caregiver for two years now and I must say that helping others and giving back goes both ways. What I love most about being a caregiver is companionship. I've had the opportunity to take care and eventually become friends with the people I support. Just as I help and teach them, they teach me to be more kind, loving and understanding in everyday life including outside the workplace. I became a caregiver due to the fact I believe my life's purpose is to help others in anyway I can.
