Hello, my name is Lisa. I have been in your shoes. I know what it's like to be scared and not know what to do when it comes to the care of a loved one. I took care of my mother when she became ill with Cancer and was her full-time caregiver for 1 1/2 years (2 1/2 years part-time). She required 100% care in those last years, which required me to quit my job. I am currently caring for my father who has Macular Degeneration and Diabetes, but he cares for himself, with the exception of anything that basically requires him to have more than 20% sight. He can no longer drive, take care of his paperwork or maintain his medication. Along with my parents, I did help with caring for my grandmother who had Alzheimer's Disease on a very part-time basis about 20 years ago. I have been a medical assistant (18 years of front and back office experience) previously, but went into the mortgage industry when my mom became sick, as it allowed me to have a more flexible schedule, which is why you see me working for mortgage companies during the past 9 years. During that time, my main focus was the elderly, because I loved helping them understand what was going on and easing their concerns over what the process was. I have a passion for helping people who cannot help themselves and making a difference in their lives. I think everybody deserves that.
