I enjoy to be a caregiver because I did cared for my parents and loved being a special and appreciated person. I am originally from Morocco and like to help people in need. I have a passion for this job and this is what most it requires. I worked with many cases of Alzheimer disease and managed to help many difficult ones.

I love to interact with my clients by communicating with them asking about what they like/don't like, listening to them and sharing my stories with them as well. What led me to being a caregiver was my granny. I watched my mom and aunt take care of her when she couldn't take care of herself. God gives each one of us a gift and caring for others is mine. I have received so much wisdom from the elderly that I actually apply it to my day to day life. I mostly enjoy the one on one time. Talking to people about life it self or just being a listening ear can do so much. A simple hug can heal a womb. The attention that they need and them knowing that they are not alone. I had a client that lost both parents. Her father was in the military therefore they moved around a lot. She was the only child. Her dad purchased her a horse and she had that horse for many years. The time had come that she could no longer take the horse with her when they moved the final time. It hurt her so bad and was very hard for her to accept. When I started working with her all she ever talked about was her horse and showed me pictures. On her birthday I decided that I wanted to surprise her with a special gift. I found a stable and took her there for her birthday. She was so happy. The expression on her face let me know that I did my job. As long as my clients are happy, I'm happy. I was taught to treat people with respect and treat people the way I want to be treated.
