About Tikisha

I became a caregiver because of the love and the relationship that I have for people. I wanted to become a doctor but I had kids and the feeling and compassion for people did not go away so I enrolled in a CNA school and started working at the nursing home but I was spending to much time one on one with the patients at the nursing home and my manager told me that I needed to stop spending so much time in those rooms and my heart and feeling for the patients was so strong that has they got sicker or passed away I found my self sad so I left the nursing home. One of the patients daughters asked about me and they gave her my number and she called and I explain to her the reason I left and she asked me would I consider going to the nursing home to take her of her mother for a couple of months until she was able to. I said yes and that is how I got started doing one on one care. I love one on one care because it gives me the opportunity to know the person and give them individual care. What I like about being a caregiver is making a difference in the client lives and their family. I am proud of raising 3 boys who went to college and are very successful and respectful to this world. I love to talk and do for others. I am a creator, I am a doer and I love to be with people. I have a husband with 3 boys one of them being a step son but I don't consider him a step son I consider him my son. I love sports and hanging around my family.
