About Lakecia

I became a CNA when I was still in High School since 2001. I love what I do which is taking care of people and building that new relationship. So that I'm able to bring the best out of the person and help them with their everyday living. Can be challenging with persons with disabilities. I am a passionate person and loving but yet firm when needed. Able to de-escalate any intense situation by talking using several skills I learned from Safety Care Training and Mindset Training. I'm very observe and pay attention to the non verbal communication of a person. I worked with the Elderly, Mentally Disabled, Young Children, Autism, Mental Health, Alzheimer patients and etc. I love to learn to position and people. I enjoy most about being a caregiver is to see the able for that person to achieve the goal that they picked and enjoy in theirs accomplishments. What attracted me to this field is a family member how I saw the way she was being missed treated due to her disability. To me she was my family member not a disability. So it was my passion anyone I work for or come across disability or not should be treated with dignity and respect.
