A great caregiver is a person who sincerely cares for people in general no matter their circumstance. It is called unconditional love and compassion. Caring for those in need is very special and dear to my heart, as I hope there will be someone to care for me if ever needed. I take my job serious, and believe that every individual should be treated with dignity and respect.
I became a caregiver because my grandma was diagnose with bone cancer and putting her in a nursing home was not an option so me and my siblings took turns caring for her. After a just a few short months she was called home to the lord and that's when I knew I wanted to be a caregiver for others who wasn't able. I received my CNA in 2003 and been doing what I love for 14 years. I'm a very passionate and dependable person who wants to give my caring and nuturing ability to others.
I have a history of 30 years as a caregiver. I started as a Home Health Aide in Hospice with 2 companies for 7 years. American Hospice and Central Hospice, due to a back injury I left the company and started private duty from the recommendation of one of my Hospice nurses. A month after starting with Hospice that I hadn't ever heard of at the time, I felt I had found my calling in life. I'm a great Caregiver because I treat my patients as my own family, I show respect to the family and their needs and try to recommend the best scenario for the family needs. 98% of my private jobs has been from past families. My very first family of over 20 years ago I'm still in touch with. I having had two clients on the LVAC heart machine. Cooking, laundry and light housekeeping. Errands, grocery shopping and Dr. Appts. I have reliable transportation. References avaible upon request.
Love taking care of people my whole life, I always was a people person,I was told by my peers that I have a gift and that this is my calling, this is my passion, I'm proud that I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of with different cultures and experience with different kinds of patients at providence hospital for 20 years it was a wonderful experience for me and a great place to work.
1. My mother was diagnosed with MS, it was very painful watching her lose her independent, a woman full of wisdom and strength. She lived with it for 10 years and i was with her through out her ill period taking care of her. It wasn't easy for her but being there for her was a big healing on it own and it gave me joy being there for her and making sure she was comfortable at all times. After my mother went to be with the lord, i pledged to get trained professional, in other to help others that may need my help. 2. The interaction and being able to know that at the end of the day that i am able to help and save ones life. 3. I went to University and graduated with Bachelor degree in Healthcare Management and minor in Business Admin. 4. I am humble, energetic,loving, caring, motivator, listener, God fearing and i have passion in what i do.
I exhibit caring and strength in assisting individuals who need support in all aspects of daily living. I interact in a manner allowing for dignity while being attentive to the particular needs dictated by circumstances. I create an environment of mutual trust and respect. I have extensive experience in observing changes in behavior and demeanor of health, and I am effective in communicating any and all concerns to appropriate parties. I am sensitive to the changes that have occurred in the individual’s life and adept at facilitating adjustment. My core competencies are administering medications, assisting with mobility and rest, preparing meals, facilitating daily living routines, ensuring proper hygiene, performing light housekeeping, providing transportation, and monitoring changes in health and behavior.
What makes me a great caregiver cause I had a mother in the wheel chair and a daughter with cerebral palsy and I love them and I won't some one who knows how to care of someone the way I care for them the same that's what makes me the one to care for your love ones I have compaction for everyone
I was caregiver for my dad for ten years he needed me to care for his daily needs. After his second brain surgery that he lost his long term memory. I couldn't mind since my dad cared for me when I was a baby to teen-years. So I couldn't turn my back on him. Plus as a nurse assistance it is my job to care for the client in their time of need. That I gave my dad the best care as a parent would give to a child. I am the mother of two grown children a son and a daughter and my son-In-law and two grandchildren Autumn and Gabriel. I am graduate from Brown Mackie College from Atlanta for medical assistance for one year program. I am have certificate nurse assistance for 20 years in nursing home, senior care home and ten years of caregiver experience. I am the type of person that I care about others well being to get better to their old self again. I believe that what I am doing will make them well again or feel better while I'm care for your love one. I am the kind of person that is down to earth, out going, caring, warm hearted, and silly person that wear my heart on my sleeves. I have been in the caregiver business for 24 years every since 1990 when I graduate from nurse assistance school.
I am a great Care giver I believe in care is what matters. I have a passion drive for my work. I am very dependable also very flexible. I put my all into my work. I love to see clients and family smile and happy. I became a Cna 16 years ago I enjoy working in a healthcare setting. I started working in Nursing Home as a Nurses Aid in 1977. Originally from New York. Always had the heart and desire to care for the sick and elderly. I like going the extra mile to make someone smile, being able to help and assist them when they can't do for themselves. I've been caring for individuals who have Developmental Disabilities. when they can say thank you and smile when they see you coming: I know I can be proud of my achievements.
