Becoming a caregiver is the greatest self reward. Helping others when they cannot help themselves gives me self worth. In 1992 I started volunteering with hospice and realized caring for others was very rewarding. I went back to school and received my medical assistant, phlebotomy, and cardiology certification. I began working in doctors offices and the hospital. I soon realized geriatric care was where I wanted to be. I developed my own personal care business for geriatric lasting 5 years when I decided to go back to school again. I'm now a full time student seeking my register nursing (RN)degree .
