I became a caregiver because i simply love to take care of others who are in need. Helping people brings joy to my heart and the best way I knew how to do that was to become a CNA. When I was little my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer and he could no longer take care of himself. So my mom being the amazing women that she is, decided to bring him into our home instead of putting him in a nursing facility. I watched her clean and bath and feed him everyday. She did it with a smile on her face and He in turned loved her for it. I will never forget that. I wanted to be like my mother and help people out you couldn't help themselves. I wanted to bring a smile to the people I care for just like my mother did with my grandfather. One of my personal achievement that I am proud of is receiving the rookie of the month award at a place I used to work. I worked at a skilled nursing facility and I had only been there three months. The nurse i worked with noticed that I was a hard worker and truly cared for the residents I took care of. So each month they give out rewards and I was blessed to receive that award and i hadn't even worked there long. I am a young energetic lady looking for a job to fullfill my life and to help others along the way.
