I became a Caregiver because I enjoying helping people! I been a Caregiver for over 25 years working with adult ages 20-87 years old. My exprieance has been in the following areas: worked at Tulane Hospital with top Neurosurgeon, hospice, hospital, spinal injuries cancer patients, and homecare. My biggest reward with s eniors is knowing that I can help them with healing and seeing the results or with thier transition by keeping them as comfortable as possible and letting them know that I really care and have compassion for them. I work with special need children as well, from age 05 to 19 and the biggest reward for me is seeing what disabilities they have in the beginning and how they overcome many of their struggles!! Some are able to go to work and some are able to speak that couldn't speak in the beginning, some are very independent and can make good decisions for them selves from when I first received them. Working with them daily and seeing their achievements to help them make it in this world is my gratification. I raised my sister who was a special need child, so I take it personal in helping people! I work as a paraprofessional for special needs students for 7 years. I am a caring and loving person who enjoy working and helping people. My personality is calm and composed the majority of the time. I am a good listener and always do my best in what ever endeavor I choose!
