I worked as an accountant in Africa before coming to the US. During my days with my dad, he was a registered nurse, we had a home for the elderly with more than seven person at a tim. I was more of an assistant to him and his employees, helping with caring for the inmates. I assisted with bathing, changing of clothing when soiled before and after bath, changing bedding, preparing meals, help with feeding, washing clothing and bed linens, housekeeping, providing the inmates company and running errands for them. Coming to the United States, the job specification has been the same but more automated, therefore it is easier here than in Africa. I have worked for Mary Adult Home Care. Care-giving entails extending love and compassion and this my only reason for liking the profession. I love caring for people as well as being in close contact with those that stand in need of care. I would love working with any institution that provides human care services. My personal achievements are honesty and dedication, for which I have received several commendations and certificates.
