I first became a caregiver when I started taking care of my aging parents. It was imperative to me that they were comfortable, healthy, and happy. I was educated in a lot of things but none of those things satisfied me as much as caring for people who couldn't properly care for themselves. I knew from that satisfaction that, being a caregiver and companion was a gift that I possessed.
