I enjoy to be a caregiver because I did cared for my parents and loved being a special and appreciated person. I am originally from Morocco and like to help people in need. I have a passion for this job and this is what most it requires. I worked with many cases of Alzheimer disease and managed to help many difficult ones.

Care giving has always been a part of my life and identity. As a child growing up in church I took care of the elders in our assembly. I did a host of small jobs and helped care for them as they transitioned. We were reared to care and support. This was the beginning of my love for helping others. For most of my adult life I took care of my mother and disabled sister. In my mom's last 5 years she suffered with crippling arthritis, crippling COPD and diabetes to name a few of her sicknesses. My younger sister has survived 2 major surgeries, a heart ailment and more. I have taken them back and forth to the doctor and managed their healthcare needs. I coordinated their care with all of their specialists and primary care doctors. I also managed their daily medications. I own a small catering company and currently I am doing personal chef work. My clients range from folks that are too busy to cook to dieters and people with health concerns. I believe It is important to develop a good working relationship with my clients, but I always respect whatever personal boundaries they set. I try to weave genuine care and concern in all that I do. One of my greatest compliments is that my food tastes like "it's cooked with love"! Another personal achievement that I am proud of is being over the Ministry of Helps at my church.. We assisted parishioners that were sick, recovering from surgery or support during bereavement. Life is hard for most of us, but the rewards of bringing a little happiness and love in someone's life is immeasurable.
