I've been in this field for awhile, I took care of my grandma who has dementia/ Alzheimer's. From that point I've made this a career most of my work since high school has been caring for elderly and adolescence who aren't able to be alone or do there daily life activities.. I had one group home I worked for and my clients would make me feel so welcomed and appreciated. They would make me a special card every Christmas it meant so much to me. I love being a big part of someone's life and making sure they are as independent as they can be.
