I'm caring,compassionate, and I have a passion for working with the elderly. At an early age I began volunteering at the nursing home where my mother worked. I would help my mother assist residents on outings such as picnics,parades, fair,fishing trips and shopping. I like spending time and taking care of people. Helping them become rehabilitated if needed so that they can return home to their normal routine. I like being an active listener and assisting people with their needs. When i was caring for my grandmother it took alot of patients and time to get her use to someone doing things for her because she was so use to doing everything on her own. my grandmother sufferred with alheimers, dimentia and took alot to get her to understand that she needed someone to help care for her. i enjoyed that feeling that i was accomplishing something and it kept a smile on her face to know that she had someone there to love her and take care of her.
