I became a caregiver because I always loved the company of the elderly. I was raised by both my grandparents so I'm used to their company and conversations. I feel like they are the reason for me being here and they were blessed to be able to care for me, and what a great job they did so I feel I have to return the favor, but I really enjoy doing it. The best part of being a caregiver is all the wonderful stories and good stuff about the past they tell you. I am very proud of receiving my CNA license back in 2011 because that's when I realized I really wanted to work with the elderly. It makes me feel good to know that I can put a smile on someone's face just by helping them put a shirt on.
