About Marcia

1. Being a Caregiver is most natural and logical for me because I have had many satisfying years of experience, caring for elderly relatives. 2. I like the challenge of being creative and skilled while providing care, unique to the needs of each individual. 3. I was assigned to care for a client who was reportedly very difficult to to cope with. My first couple hours with her proved to be correct. She refused to be attended to in every way. I decided to stop a minute and look around her home, trying to find a clue about her likes and iinterests. She had several pictures of herself or in a group singing or playing an instrument. I used songs and videos to, effectively motivate and encourage her while performing important tasks and to assist with daily activities. 4. I am a mother and grandmother several times over. I have formal training in Customer care and Nursing Assistance. Caring and sharing in the needs and wants of others in my family or immediate surroundings has been my life. My mom died when I was very young and I learned and understood from a very young age, how to cope in difficult situations and to be understanding of those who have needs. I have a flair for art and being creative. I love to cook, bake and sew.
