I'm very patient, caring, dependable and responsible with over 25 years experience, Carelinx is part time now as I am a full-time CPA for Home Instead Senior Care. I began caregiving as a child. Growing up my mother was very sick and in and out of the hospital. She struggled with COPD, Cancer, and a number of other illnesses. She passed away when I was a young woman. When I was in my early 20s I worked at a personal care home with about 15 residents. I was the only caregiver on duty most of the time. I gained a lot of experience working with Alzheimer's, stroke, and diabetics during that time. Afterwards I began working with a quadriplegic. I gained a lot of experience working with hoyers, lifts, special vehicles that have belts, and lifts for electrical wheel chairs, etc. At that time I also became familiar with bowel treatment and care for urine bags, etc. After my patient moved to another state I began to care for a retired military gentleman with whom I worked with for almost 12 years. He passed away in July of 2018. I took a long break from caring for people after he passed. I enjoy helping people. I genuinely care for and about people. It has always been rewarding for me. It helps me to feel good about who I am, knowing that I've actually made someone else's life better.

The elderly has a wealth of knowledge that they love to share about life and their experiences. I enjoy their appreciation for you being their caregiver and they seem so grateful. I treat them the same way I would like to be treated and the way I would like my mother to be treated if she needed care. Empathy and compassion. Working with people in a home care setting, it is essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion caregivers will let the person they are caring for know that they care about the person and want to do what they can to help them.

I am very caring, attentive, empathetic and a professional at what I do. I have 14 years experience and have worked with hospice, home care and skilled nursing in my many years as a certified nursing assistant. What I love about being a caregiver are the connections I make with people and the difference I am able to make in their life. I have quite a few personal achievements that I am proud. The one I am most proud of is the hundreds of peoples lives I have touched by improving their quality of life and making their day a easier and brighter. I understand the feelings that come along with not being able to do the things one was able to do independently at one time. I am a very spiritual person and strongly believe in holistic approaches to create a balance in mind, body and soul for healing or better quality of life. The families that I serve love the care that I give.

I believe in delivering quality of life for seniors and clients of any age! Showing compassion through sincere listening and being present for the clients I care for is a top priority. Through home visits with various agencies, live-in care, and working with an Assisted Living Center my combined services to the elderly have helped me thrive in the industry of caring. In the realm of younger folks, I drove a school bus for years and taught home schooled children including my own. I taught a class on self-empowerment based on the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series too. The classes I taught were an eye-opener and perhaps opened the door to a new way of viewing life. The life experiences I've had with Seniors who have become family to me and ultimately my friends has given me much more than I could have possibly conceived of giving to them! I found that with kids, being present and seeing the beautiful gifts they have inside always brought those gifts out with the acknowledgement. The services I've provided are most assuredly a soul's calling! Senior care and working with younger folks has been a perfect fit with my desire to make a difference with others, and the kind of career I totally enjoy! I have a knack for understanding human nature and the needs of the heart and naturally, I learned this through my own life experiences. We all are truly one when it comes to matters of the heart and what this life means! Applying the knowledge of our oneness is what the care of others is all about. I'm seeing my own reflection in the hearts of those that I serve in this type of work. From that seeing, I give the best of who I am to others! Importantlly too is the fact that I am CPR and First Aid Certified and have over 15 years experience caring for Seniors.

Personal achievement that I proud of is I reach Master Program in my education. So I am an educated caregiver, I can explain about how important for their blood circulation. Moreover since I see many elderly people has problem of inflammation on their hands, legs, foot, I did light massage therapy with my rolling stick to reduce the inflammation and heal their vein bloods so day by day they recover from this inflammation and they are happy. I do this with one client who has Parkinson disease and heart failure. For clients that have UTI, I explained to the family member how to clean rightfully and with the clients who has ulcer or bed sore how to heal or treat those sore. I work for hospice. I am very excellent dealing with client who need tube feeding machine and make sure they don't have any irritable skin where the tube is. So I have worked as a caregiver for 8 years, a lot of experiences with paralysis, stroke, Parkinson, dementia, disable and hospice cares. Regular caring is my basic treatment to elderly people.
