Ever since I was a little girl I loved visiting my mom at work at the nursing home. I started volunteering in activities when I was 11. I loved keeping the residents entertained and making sure they had something positive to look forward to each day. When I was 16 I was hired to work as a dietary aide in the facilities kitchen and eventually worked my way up to a cooks position. I've always had a passion for cooking and went to a trade school for culinary during high school. I missed being around the residents and wished I could be more involved so I decided to get my LNA. It was the best decision because not only am I around the residents more I can actually help them with whatever problems they are facing that day.

My journey as a caregiver started over 16 years ago I have worked in many healthcare settings as well as home health. I've worked with all ages. Mostly the elderly. I have taken care of two terminal lost angels which is why I no longer extend my hospice services to children. I also no longer provide live in service as well due to personal reasons. I am a very clean individual that is very sociable as well as friendly. I'm no chef but I rarely hear complaints about cooking an very adjustable to culture an customs. Can cook a wide variety of foods. I do housekeeping and meal prep as well, when your love one is sleeping so no time is ever wasted .. excellent time management as well as transportation.Leave a shopping list with the store you or your loved one wishes I'll also get the grocery shopping an house needs as well. I have become, what I consider myself to be, an amazing caregiver. I have a huge heart and i tend to put everyone I care for above and beyond everything else. I listen carefully to peoples needs as well as wants and do my very best to provide what is expected by them or the families NO QUESTION. I decided I wanted to be a caregiver at a young age. My grandmother was diagnosed with dementia and everyone in my family brushed it off as just 'old age'. Well, I wanted to learn more about this dementia and see what I could do to help better her life and the lives of others in this predicament. What I am proud of most is all the positive feedback from families as well as co-workers, managers included, about how great I am and how lucky a place or family is to have me. I have many personal achievements but the one I am most proud of, is I will ALWAYS and forever as long as I am caring for loved ones of my own or others, put quality over quantity. I have learned that people need good care no matter the life span, young or old.
