I pride myself on providing warm, understanding and patient care for our seniors. My passion stems from volunteering at a nursing home and seeing first hand the lack of empathy for our elders. I believe in respect and lending a helping hand so our seniors can hang onto to their independence and dignity.

God has blessed me with a caregivers heart. I have approximately 16-18 years of caregiving. I have cared for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's Disease, TBI's, Multiple Sclerosis and more. I truly enjoy helping others and caring for people.

I grew up in the small town of Mars Hill Went to Early college high school where all my classes are honors based. I've worked in many different Nursing homes, Assisted living facilities. If i would describe myself i would say I'm a very honest, trustworthy, cautious, passionate, compassionate person. I've worked in Home care, skilled nursing and Assisted living settings and enjoyed it. I'm very respectful, professional and Oriented. I know how to assist with physical therapy, vital sings assessments such as Blood pressure,respirations, pulse, weight, and give companionship with activities. I'm well trained in infection control, standard precautions. Airborne, contact,droplet precautions. I'm skilled with repositioning, transferring and ambulation with clients I've worked with the mentally disabled, handicapped, and jeryatric patients. Im also well trained on catheter care, colostomy care, palliative care and peri care. I have worked with clients who are on oxygen therapy, kemo therapy, physical therapy. I'm a decent cook. I am currently a caregiver, having the job doesn't change how I feel about taking care of people. What I do, I do out of love and the kindess of my heart. I started out just doing private care for family members, now that I have been working for this company I now know even more how to care for peoples needs. I have patience, I have no choice because at home I'm a single mom of 5 children. I just love taking care of people in general. I go above and beyond for my clients. Hello my name is Ashley and I realized I'd like to take care of people and animals from a young age I have a very loving heart and sometimes it gets me into a mess but I only see the better in people that they do not I'm outgoing I can make you smile and laugh on your bad days beat the shoulder to cry on or the ear to listen when you need it. I think I'm a good caregiver because not just that I care so much for my client but I am ready to go as far as they are without pushing them or nagging them. I try to address myself when coming in a room so I don't scare anyone in said room. I lost my fiance of 8 years to cancel I've had family that said cancer or died from alcoholism and I just try to see the better and people and help as much as I can even with everything I've been through I still have to make sure that people are getting the right care that they need

I've been a Registered Nurse since 2013. I have worked many areas including; OB, women's health, orthopedics, oncology, medical/surgical, wound care, IV management, medication management, all activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, toileting, dressing, etc) physician scheduling and management. I have been a travel nurse for the last year and I've handled and experienced a lot of really amazing medical works. Being an RN limits my time with my patients. I want a more personal relationship with the people I care for. Before looking at wages, look at skill set: that can be the difference between life and death for your loved one.

I enjoy being a caregiver because I enjoy helping people and helping them to try to achieve their goals. I have patience,a loving and caring heart but also sometimes you got to have the will to try to motivate a patient to do more than they think they are able to do. I enjoy most about being a caregiver is I can just be myself and care for my patient. My personal achievement I am most proud of is raising my daughter after a terrible divorce and working two jobs while in nursing school and graduating before my mother passed with cancer.Praise God
