I am Virginia Board Certified Nursing Assistant with over five years of home health and assisted living care. After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. I believe that everyone has the right to quality care, and an advocate to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. Raising four children has taught me that one must always use and implement active listening skills as well as expect the unexpected. My passion for health care comes from years of experience as a mother, wife and caregiver to family and friends.

I become a caregiver when my mom got sick. I realize at that moment I will be a good aide. I love taking care of people. I really enjoy the feeling of putting a smile on someone's face. letting them know they can always count on me to be there to assist when the needs arises. I have recieved awards for my job. I have families who still keep in touch with me because of how wonderful i took care of their love ones. I have achieve so many things from being a care giver. like getting to know the different backgrounds of my clients. but my great achievements is putting a smile on their faces. For the many years that I have been taking care of the military men and women, I have loved the joy and appreciation that they give back. It is without a doubt that I will take a great care of your loved one just like I would care for my own. For me, life is a gift that comes from God and therefore, it must be respected.

I started Caregiving over 25 years ago. I have always enjoyed assisting clients. I have worked in home health care, private duty, and caregiving facilities. My roles included caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A), Med Tech and Supervisor, and Nursing Assistant Educator. Due to my passion for caregiving, I became a Registered Nurse in 2012. As a registered Nurse, I traveled to patients' homes, wrote Care Plans, and trained and tested Nursing Assistants. I have spent the last few years homeschooling and raising my children. I miss caregiving and ready to start my career again. Even though I am Registered Nurse, I am interested in a caregiver role. I want to spend time with my clients. I enjoy helping clients where needed, while understanding independence is essential. I love the development of a relationship with my clients and families in whatever way they build. My personality includes empathy, patience, and kindness. I like to be on time and take my work seriously. When I am not caregiving, I enjoy paddle boarding, skating, hiking, camping, guitar, and life.

I became a caregiver because thats always been my job and i studied for elderly care. I like this job because i like taking care of others, and trying to make people feel good. A proud acheivement i have is getting my career that helps me make a difference

I became a caregiver in 1992 in order to enter a field that I loved and that I could also help others in at the same time. The best part of the job is engaging with different people and hearing of their varying stories about life. There is so much to learn from them.

CNA license , CPR license and DMV license aviable if needed Since 1992, and worked in nursing home and sunrise assistant living until 2000 part time From 2000 to 2007 I worked for Fedex until my mother got sick and I took FMLA for 3 months But my mother needed me longer so I resigned 2008 I went back to home health care working for an agency visiting Angels 2009 I started working privately for myself until 2014-2015 I started working for another agency Virginia Home Health Care Services 703-822-5252 Back to private 11/30/15 I have worked with special needs, 4 adults and 1 child and 1 teenage through VHCS. I truly enjoy working with seniors. I have done so for a little over sixteen years. Seniors are a very important part of our society. Every senior citizen lead productive lives and had families they loved. Seniors deserve our respect and dignity.

Being a caregiver gives me an immense amount of joy. But if I could highlight a particular aspect about being a caregiver as my favorite, it would be knowing that I am transforming someone else's life for the better.
