I enjoy helping and taking care of people who need it. I love listening to the wisdom of my elders! I also just love bringing happiness and some sunshine into someone's life! I have been a Medical Assistant for 28 years, for 18 of those years I worked in 2 different Urology offices, 5 working in an ENT and Allergy office. I am currently working in a Family Practice office. I have enjoyed working in each office and established a great rapport with the majority of the patients I have encountered, as well as there respect and gratitude. I also worked in Home Health for a brief period. One of my clients hired me to continue taking care of her mother, which was extremely gratifying to know she was so pleased with the care I provided and trusted me to continue taking care of her mother.

Hello, I am a very compassionate person, dependable, great listener, respectful with my clients and their values, very kind, punctual, hard worker, with a great attitude. I love and enjoy helping people, when and where they more need. Being a CNA, was the greatest decision, I have made in my life, because my dream came through; since I was little I liked to help people. I gave a lot to my clients and more than anything, a handful of help, understanding, passion, love and a great smile in my face, every time when I arrive to their homes, but not only I give them, but I also receive many things back in return. Another big smile, and thanks, for everything I do for them. There is not a better feedback that their appreciation for my hard work and commitment. I remember hearing this expression from my last client "Maxi you make my days. I am so happy when I see you in my door", The services I can provide to you and your loves one are: company and conversation, helping recovery from surgeries, fall prevention, medication reminder, light cooking and housekeeping, laundry, errands, driving to Dr. app., assisting in activities of daily living, shower or bath, walking, and many more as needed. As a highly competent caregiver companion, I bring a service- focused and hardworking attitude to this role. I maintain an efficient and organized work mentality as I assist in the care of several geriatric and chronically ill patients. I have an instinct for problem solving and work well independently and with little oversight. I am compassionate, outgoing, resourceful, and believe that trust and honesty are key when in a caregivers role. I was attracted to care giving due to my need of wanting to help people. What I enjoy the most is building a bond and being apart of the recovery process. My biggest achievement in care giving was being able to help my mom over a period of two years recover from her Ru in y Gastric bypass surgery. Prior to her surgery she had diabetes and kidney disease for 3 years and didn't think she would make it to the age of 40. After her surgery I was apart of the recovery process and seeing her healthy and free of diabetes and kidney disease has been the best experience and biggest accomplishment in my life. Therefore I want to continue and help others because its what I truly love to do.

I have been a caregiver since I was 15 years old. I took care of my grandmother as she went through radiation and chemotherapy for liver and colon cancer. I took care of the housework and was responsible for cleaning her colostomy 3 times a day. I cared for her husband who also had dementia and alzheimers. As I grew up, i then cared for my mother who had non-hodgkin's b-cell lymphoma of the brain which affected her mental abilities. I cared for my aunt who developed lung cancer and had to undergo treatment as well. I cared for mybuncle who suffered PTSD, emphysema, copd, and diabetes. I have a step daughter with mental disabilities as well as neurological issues and epilepsy. I have been a caregiver most of my life and has been something I have felt comfortable with no matter how hard times have seemed. I am now 38 years old and have been doing this over half my life. Helping others is something that has given me fulfillment in my life.

Empathy and compassion is what makes me a great caregiver. I started off at 16 years old taking care of my grandpa. Making sure he take his medicine, bath, and read him versus out of his bible. As I got older I knew this is what I wanted to do I want to help the elderly patients that can no longer do much for themselves. It's essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion, caregivers will let the person know that they care about them and want to do what they can to help and that's what keeps me consistent. I love to keep clients smiling and talking. I received my CNA license and went to school to study for my degree in Medical Administration Assistant of Applied Science. But somehow I just went back to CNA doing what I really love for 10 years and counting. Also have my BLS license through American Heart Association
