I would describe myself as a respectful, observant, reliable and patient person who provides first-class care. Over the years, I have worked in various roles where the need to work closely with other people, follow strict rules and procedures, and demonstrate understanding and empathy have been required.

I took care of both of my parents. I love being around their wisdom. They think i'm funny and fun to be with. I would rather be around older people. Aways have since I was little. Guess it started in childhood since that's what we had living around us in our neighborhood.! And feel very blessed that its a calling too. I love talking and most of all listening to my clients. I am a 53 old grandmother to two beautiful 2 yr old girls. I am mother to a 10 yr old at home and her 5 grown siblings. I am married to my wonderful husband Ken. I love working with people. I love helping people and knowing that I am making someone elses life easier. I am a people person, I have lots of patience. I started working as a CNA when I was 20, I loved my job. I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I'm needed and I make someone happy. I am proud of my children and how far they have come in life. I am proud that I am who I am despite things life has thrown me.

My name Christina! Being a caregiver is something that I love an enjoy doing. What attracted me to become a caregiver is because being in the nursing field has been my life goal. So starting out as caregiver is where I started. I've had 5 years caregiving experience. I'm certified CPR/first aid also certified Level 1 medication aide.

I was a caregiver to a quadriplegic professor when I was in college to help pay for my tuition. After college, I continued doing private care on the side for some Alzheimer patients at a nursing home. In 2004, I enrolled at a nursing school for a year and a half. I did not finish my degree, but I did receive my certification as a CNA and as a Medication Technician. I keep up to date with the newest discoveries and findings in the world of medicine. Even though I have not had any new medical training, I am current on my knowledge of diseases, medications and side effects of such medications. For instance, I am aware that when you care for an Alzheimer's patient, you step into his/her world, and not insist that he/she conforms to your expectations of what is real. I am compassionate and capable. All of the kids are either all grown or almost grown, but I still have this vast need to nurture. My husband refuses to be smothered, so, I need to go out of the house and find someone else who would appreciate being cared for :-) My kids are my biggest accomplishment. The eldest is going to medical school this summer, and the middle one is attending UMKC in August. The youngest one is doing great as a Sophomore while giving out just enough sass to maintain her teenage status.

Growing up I have always been very interested in helping people for their daily living. I am kind, gentle, and very compassionate person. What attracted me to being a caregiver was generally to help people and advocate for people. What enjoy most about being a caregiver is to be able help people in their sickness and you see how their health improves. One of my personal achievements is to be able to graduate from school, proud of that.

I am a outgoing, careing, and organized person. What attracted me to caregiving is majority of my family is in healthcare and so I have always been around know when and how to care for people. I enjoy just being there for someone that is in need of anything and them feeling like someone cares.
