I genuinely love being able to take care of people and especially the elderly. I have always been very passionate about being there for the elderly and taking care of them as if they're my own grandparents. I have overcome a lot of fear I had with being around new people and new surroundings, and working with the elderly has taught me a lot of life skills, and most importantly being patient. I am a very caring and outgoing person with an amazing personality.

I enjoy working with people and enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoy taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel I can get along well with a variety of elders. It is essential that a great caregiver (Myself) feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion, a caregiver will let the person know that they care about them. For instance, they will try and do what they can to help - not because they have to, but because they want to.

I think the Lord has called me to this type of work so that He, in working through me, shares the comfort, peace and love, that only He can give. I have discovered in working with the terminally ill or those in Hospice, that they end of blessing me far more as I learn about their background, family, spiritual beliefs -- they become my family. One of my most precious moments, was being with a sweet lady who was at the end of life. As the CD's played soft music of old hymns and after praying and reading scripture to her for several days; I experienced her smile and hand on my cheek, just before the angels escorted her from this world into Glory.

I'm a great caregiver because I been caregiving most of my life since I was 18 years old, I am a fun loving/kind person to anyone in need of help, I understand and emphasize with people in need that can not do for themselves. I love people. I'm a great listener& a great cook and a great hose keeper. Being a caregiver is something I enjoy I do my best with love and kindness for people to give them hope. I enjoy caregiving because I learn new things every day to meet peoples needs and understanding them so they can be happy in life. Listening is key for me. My personal achievements are taking care of my mom and aunt when therms desperately needed me, they both are in wheelchairs and trough the years I helped both maintain a healthy fun lifestyle, also I am a mother of 4 children I am so proud to have raised them all. My other achievements is I am firm believer of Jesus Christ and I look to him daily to be a better and good person everyday, with a strong faith.
