I'm a very passionate caregiver. I love what I do,it been my passion since I was 16years old. I had to help my mom care for my grandfather n grandmother. While she work.this is the reason I became a caregiver, my granny said :u are really good at this really love u for this helping your mom out when u could be with your friends (tears). It makes u feel good on your inside making them smile

What makes me an excellent caregiver...I am genuinely friendly and compassionate person. I love working with the elderly especially because you can learn so much from their experiences and life stories. My personal experience that really drove me to continually care for people was my only sister who passed away March 2015. She had renal failure and other health problems. I cared for her at our mother's home until her death. My mother was not strong enough to do all the care as far as her feeding tube and giving her medicine through it. Changing her briefs bathing and all other care. My bond with her was very strong and she always told me that I would work with people like her...when i was younger I did not understand but when she passed away it dawned on me. My sister was so free hearted loving funny and smart. I got my certification in memory of her and plan on furthering my education into Registered Nursing. I treat all my patients like my family and the way i would care for my own. Family is everything to me and being there beside them is even more special. Caregiving started from the womb with me that's what my mom tells me...thanks for allowing me to share

Hi, I'm Ilyanna I'm currently in school to become a CNA but I've previously worked at UAB Hospital on a surgical unit. Helping Patients with Dementia, Cancer, Kidney Disease, Liver Disease or even some patients just needed help with simple activities like getting to the restroom and helping with pain management. I've also worked as a caregiver it. I started off helping take care of my Grandmother with Dementia and then transitioned to helping her while she was on hospice. I have a passion for my job and hope to one day start my own Caregiving business. I know it's not always about taking care of someone! Sometimes we just need company! Someone to talk to or just spend the day with.

My name is Jeannie Smith I am 35 years old. I have worked in the medical field for 11 years. In those 11 years I have obtained a CNA, CMA, a current CPR and first aid. I have completed all except for 12 weeks of my practical nursing I attended college at Kaplan University in Omaha,NE. I have worked in places such as: nursing homes, assisted living, specialty units (dementia, brain damage), nursing agencies, in home care (private pay), multiple hospitals. I have worked with patients/residents with a variety of aliments such as: dementia, Alzheimer's, cerebral palsy, brain injuries, cancer, paralysis/prosthesis. I feel God places you in different situations and that he's put me in specific situations to make me a better person. I feel that these situations have made me a better CNA such as my brother suffering a coma due to being hit by a drunk driver and my other brother suffering major brain damage and bed ridden due to a massive heart attack/stroke. I know God has placed me here to care for others. And I do that through being a CNA. I love what I do with a passion.

I am pursuing a career that I have always loved and that is to become a general surgeon. I am currently working towards receiving my BSN then I will be applying for UAB School of Medicine. I first started out as a Caregiver through a Home health care company. At first it was just another job, then I began to really like the feeling of helping people, and the fact that they needed my help. It wasn't long before I knew this is what Im meant to do in life. I love everything about being Caregiver. I strive really hard to make all my patients happy. Because of my love for Care giving and hard work, I have been running my own care business for 5 years now. All of my clients are by word of mouth and I am very proud of that.

I have two special needs children of my own, I am 100% positive that I will exceed your expectations in caring for your loved one. it takes a special person with a great amount of live, compassion and patience. My son is almost 10, he has a rare genetic deletion which allowed all these mental/physical health problems. he was diagnosed at 9 months old with bilateral retinoblastoma and underwent 8 rounds of chemo and radiaton and had to have a central line that I had to be trained on how to flush daily and change his site dressing . He also has low functioning autism , he's still in diapers at 10, non verbal, blind in his right eye from the cancer. My daughter is almost 8 and was born with a genetic problem as well. She's has teribleood swings, ADHD, seizures and other mental problems. Sorry if I have over explained I just feel that some of you would like to know that I walk in the same steps as many of you do on a daily basis.
