I'm familiar with many different medical conditions that a person might be experiencing. I believe in anticipating a patients needs and making life easier for them . I want my patients to feel safe and confident in my care. I like to pamper the people I care for. I truly believe that this job was my calling.. I have had many different jobs in my life , and caregiving is my passion. Caring for another human being and doing your best to make them feel comfortable, secure and content is very gratifying, and I take great pride in my work. I've worked for Hospice for the last 15 years and I'm a mother of 5 kids and 23 grandbabies and taking care of people is what I do. I feel a sense of accomplishment by offering the good care that I give. I have pt's tell me that I'm the best part of their day. Making sure that a person is comfortable is what I do. My hopes and dreams is to own a group home one day.

Ive been working as a CNA since I was 18yrs old with a total of 10 years experience. I got into nursing through my mother, who would talk about her experiences as a nurse. Ive loved it ever since. Most of my experience is working with skilled and non-skilled patients in nursing homes and the last 3 years doing in home care and a little bit of hospital experience through one of my previous registry companies. I served in the US Navy for 2 years and recieved a honorable discharge for an injury. After that, I worked security for banner and attended collage for a while only to miss nursing, so i returned to it. I got into home care because it allows me to focus on one individual, rather than 16, allowing me to actually get to know the person. Professionally I tend to be a straight forward kind of person who loves his job and working with others that are hard workers and caring. I dont like to beat around the bush or sugar coat things to much. I try to "keep it real" (i hate using that phrase) and honest with my patients. I also try to make the best of any situation, whether thats for myself or for my patients. Mental health is just as important as ones physical health and thats always something i try to pass onto my patients.
