Hello, My name is been ChristinaSuarez. I am 34 years old, married with 3 girls. I have been in the medical field for 13 years now. I have my Medical Assistant diploma. I have been a caregiver for 6 years now. I became a caregiver in June of 2012. I was my father's caregiver for 4 years before he passed away in early 2016. As time passed on I new that caregiving was my calling. I went back to work as a caregiver. I love being a caregiver for the simple fact that I don't see it as a job I see it as a career and that I am helping others in all that they need and also helping their families in a time of need. I love to help in anyway I can. I believe I'm a great caregiver cause I put my heart and soul into my work and I love too see others happy. Another thing that makes me a great caregiver is that I can relate to somethings that families are going through and I can also help them get through the hard times. I would say that my personal achievements have been graduating high school, getting my Medical Assistant diploma, becoming my dad's caregiver and also finding my calling in life which was being a Caregiver. What makes me a great caregiver? I love people and just knowing am able to give back to my elders is amazing. I am a caregiver to everyone my own children, others children, elders and people on the street by feeding them and just assisting them where its needed , giving words of encouragement. Around the community people call me mama/ mama nay-nay or grandma. I feel God put me on this earth to care for others besides myself. I have always put others needs before my own. I will go without just so someone else is able to be okay. Am humble, funny, lovable and caring. Am very proud of all my accomplishments but most of all Receiving my Masters in Human Services was one I was most proud of. Loving others is what I do best.

Hello my name is Guadalupe, I started as a caregiver in Durango when I had to take care of my grandma. I been a caregiver since 2-3 years at Good-Neighbor Care and I always had a passion to take care of people, but never knew what I wanted to do as my career. I'm a single mom who has grown up in the medical field with my mother being an RN. I love to care for people and animals. The thing I'm most proud of is curing my diabetes and getting off of all medications while losing 73lbs in 6 months.

What I like about being a caregiver is that I know I am helping some ones life be a little easier, be there for them when they cant do much for them selfs. I wanted to continue doing caregiving after my mother pass away she always told me I would be a good nurse some time I still looking forward to it. I personally like my job because I am showing my patients that there are people that have the skills to be there when ever is need it, there is also support, compassion, love and respect, and at the end of the day it gives me the satisfaction that I help someone and made the day easy on the patient and/or the family....I always think what goes around comes around and so do good that way later in life we get some one good to take care of us.
