I am compassionate and empathetic. I genuinely care for my fellow man. I am a good listener who pays attention to detail and I'm self-sufficient. I've completed training in the following courses through The Public Authority of Santa Clara County, Last phase of life, mental health, nutrition, personal care, pre-paramedical, Alzheimer's & Dementia Basics, first aid, diabetes, and CPR, to name a few. Being the oldest, and only girl of 4, I Inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later in life gravitated towards adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and hearing their lives experiences and the knowledge, and wisdom they often share. For me, there's no greater satisfaction than going home at the end of my workday knowing that my presence made a difference in someone else's day and that I am appreciated.

I became a cna because my great grandma who raised me became a diabetic and had to have both of her legs amputated. I was around 11or 12. She learned how to walk with new prostetics and her walker. Also I had to administer her insulin at times. She passed shortly after I turned 18. I dedicated my life to her.

Hi! My name is Nikki I am 25 years old, I graduate in May with my AA in health science. I plan on transferring to SJSU to get my BSN. What attracted me to be a caregiver is my passion for helping others and helping me gain more day to day knowledge on my way to my future career.

I am an RN of 35 plus years, I also work on staff as a Massage Therapist for a local fitness/ rehabilitation facility- I have a long background in hospital based Acute Care. In recent years my focus has been on eldercare, Hospice, home-care. I consider myself to be a calm, easy, cheerful- hands on care provider. I enjoy using my skills, training- I am able to provide simple or more involved care in the home- simple monitoring to assistance with daily life/ personal care. I like to provide individual care to both my client and their surrounding environment- keeping both clean, organized and comfortable. My assessment skills, training and experience assist me to determine, with the input of the client and family -what the current needs are, and then provide effective solutions and specific care that fits the client and their situation. I also believe in clear communication, so that all are working together towards whatever goal is desired-and whether that is increased independence, rehabilitation, post op recovery, or simply easing distress and assisting w basic activities of daily living, comfort care. In this current climate- I have a strong background in infection control- personally I have been maintaining self isolation as is possible- limiting my interactions/ contact with others to only what is necessary- I use a secure mask to interact- and standard cleaning/ hand washing protocols when interacting - References upon request . Case manager for home care agencies for 7 yrs, I now offer private consultation as well as hands on care for Activities of Daily Living, Companionship, etc. I am very familiar with elder care/memory care, Including but not limited to, Dementia/Alzheimer's. I am also familiar with Parkinson's disease and medications. Extensive experience with catheters, feeding tubes, Hoyer lifts, etc. I have lots of experience with end of life care. I can offer training/education to caregivers and/or family. I can attend doctor appointments to keep Health Care Team and family informed. I can handle medication administration, reminders, refills, etc. I will monitor for medication efficacy/ overall condition and contact MD if any issues arise. I have compassion and empathy caring for patients who are in need of care and assistance with every day living. I became a caregiver because I love to work with seniors because my grandpa and my great grandma was in a place and I would always stop by and help care for them alone I did community service at a senior living place in Tracy and I was there for about a year and it was amazing to work with seniors also I love to care for others. I enjoy helping them, playing games with them making sure they eat there food in all reality I just love to help them out.

I have been working as a care giver for more than seven years as a part time job I like it because I like to help people especially elderly people or those who are sick. I always like to be on time at work. I take a certified nurse Assistant training and studying in college.

What makes me a good caregiver would be I'm very compassionate I'm honest caring loving and I love to help people what push me into the medical field I volunteered for a year-and-a-half with my grandmother until she moved to Sacramento and I like what I did so I went and got my CNA I'm a certified CNA and that's the accomplishment that I am most proud about
