I became a caregiver simply by watching and helping my father take care of his grandmother as a young girl. I enjoy witnessing the joy and excitement on my patients' faces when they are being well taking care of, from as simply as giving a cold glass of water to comforting them in time of pain. For the last couple of years, I have been team captain for the Alzheimer's Walk. I set up fundraisers to help raise money for this very special event, as well as participate in the walk. I am a very dedicated person to my work. I am compassionate, loyal, honest, self motivated, and care about the well-being of my patients.

I like that I get to know people .I like listening to there stories. I am proud that I finish college with a Associated Degree and now working on my Bachelor Degree. Dependable , hard working. Military spouse for 20 years. We have two daughters. I have traveled with my husband in his career.

I am a happy person and just enjoy people.I love what I do and this field of study is my passion.What attracted me is the elderly.I was really close to my grandmother and when she got sick I took care of her.I seen there was a need to do this kind of work.I decided this was the right direction and I wanted to make a career out of this.I am happy that I graduated from college and my 10 year old daughter is so proud of me.

I have been a certified caregiver for two years and a non certified caregiver for two years also. I love to assist and care for the elderly. Being a caregiver has been my passion since I was a little girl and taking care my grandmother inspired me to accomplish my goals. i have been a certified nursing assistant for 11 years but i have been a caregiver longer than that helping to assist my own family members with adl's, med,and whatever else that i could assist with. i am a very caring, and patient individual i always have empathy and compassion for the individuals that i enter into their lives. i never treat people as a client i treat them as though they were a family member, and it is very rewarding to make someone happy. I understand that sometimes family members can't be there all the time so it is my pleasure to help and fill in when family members cant. I have worked in all different areas so i have a lot of experience that alot of caregivers don't and i always tell people i'm not here for the money i am here knowing that i can make someone happy or even smile if it is only for a minute. I do have a full time job but I don't mind sharing my time assisting others when i can.
