It all started when I was 17 years old. I had an Aunt who was diagnosed with brain cancer. She was put into an assisted living facility and I got a job in food service so I could spend as much time with her as I could. Even though I was in dietary, I was her personal caregiver on my off time. I was with her until she went to heaven, and I don't regret one second of it. I learned so much from her that I fell in love and found my calling in life. I LOVE THIS CAREER! It's a good feeling being able to help those who can no longer do it themselves. Families usually get a caregiver because everyone works, and can't spend all that time missing work. That's why you need someone you can trust, and know your family member is safe and happy!
