Love taking care of people my whole life, I always was a people person,I was told by my peers that I have a gift and that this is my calling, this is my passion, I'm proud that I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of with different cultures and experience with different kinds of patients at providence hospital for 20 years it was a wonderful experience for me and a great place to work.

I have been a caregiver 18 years and completely love my job. I have worked in a few facilities as a(cna) but I love to provide care in home working one on one with my client. I take pride in going that extra mile to make my client and there family happy. I have a very flexible schedule which opens me to varies shifts . I'm filled with great joy when taking care of others, we can never imagine what life may bring or when we may need to be cared for ourselves. I became a caregiver at the age of 17 helping my great grandmother. I transitioned into the health care field at the age of 18; I've worked in numerous health care facilities and hospice facilities. I enjoy connecting and meeting new souls. My clients often turn into family or friends. This is what makes my job amazing to me. I love and get along with people from all walks of life. It's a gift for me to take care elder people

I became a caregiver twenty years ago when my mother-in-law was ill. It is God's work, and I get fulfillment out of giving back to those who always gave of themselves to us. Being kind and patient with the needy is a feeling of accomplishment. I am a widow, and mother of two sons. One is a teacher, and the other is a ophthamologist.

I am compassionate and empathetic, genuinely caring for my fellow man. I am a good listener who pays attention to detail, and I pride myself on being self-sufficient. I have completed training in various courses through The Public Authority of Santa Clara County, including topics such as the last phases of life, mental health, nutrition, personal care, pre-paramedical studies, Alzheimer's and dementia basics, first aid, diabetes, and CPR, among others. As the oldest and only girl among four siblings, I inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later moved into adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and different parts of the world. Each person is unique, and their shared experiences often come with valuable knowledge and lessons. For me, there is no greater satisfaction than going home at the end of my workday, knowing that my presence made a difference in someone else's day and that I am appreciated.

I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that I take care of all my patients as if they were my own family and make sure they are comfortable and most importantly I listen to their needs. I first became interested in health care when my mother was ill and needed care herself and realized that I had a real passion for helping others. I enjoy knowing that the family can be at ease knowing I'm there taking care of their loved ones. At Long Beach Memorial I was know as the "sitter whisper" because whenever they had a difficult patient they would alway assign me that patient and by the end of the day the patient would no longer require restraints or was completely compliant and friendly. They always ask what was my secret and I would say I simply listen to what their needs are.

I'm friendly ,I'm very helpful,kind heart and loving. I've always been a helping person and I enjoy working with others helping them feel better about themselves what I enjoy most about being a caregiver and seeing the smiles on people face when I'm able to make them feel better and make their day. In the past, I have assisted clients with their activities of daily living, companionship, recording intake and outputs, recording vitals signs, experience in using hospital equipment like Hoyer Lifts, and Stand Lifts. I also assisted with light house keeping, grocery and laundry.
