I started by taking Family leave from my job as a Bookkeeper, to care for my Father. I thought at that point 5 years ago, hey I would like to do this for a living. Two years later my Father passed away and I lost my job and began caring for my Mother. At that point I decided to go to school and become certified. Received my CNA in 2013. Have been working since then and love what I'm doing. I am caring, dependable, fun, positive and energetic. I am a team player and can also take the lead. I love to cook, bake and juice. The love I have for people whom can't help themselves what has help me to be a great caregiver from working in daycares to working in private homes with other love ones. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my family gave care for years I watched my mother work in nursing homes to private duty nursing as a little girl growing up to have a heart. I come from a family that cared for each other at home whenever necessary. Our family stayed at home and was cared for by other family members. I got the best lessons on caring for the vulnerable and elderly that way. I have been a caregiver for around 25 years and love going into the homes of people who need someone to take care of them in order for their lives to continue to function normally without disruptions in routine that would be debilitating to them. I am proud of giving my time and energy to help others lead a more fulfilling life when they are no longer able to accomplish that on their own.
