I am great at communicating with a resident with a tone that they are able to understand. I have patience and do not move at a fast pace that can throw the person off. What attracted me the most to caregiving is being able to help someone in need who can not have that care on a daily bases at home alone. What I enjoy the most about caregiving is seeing the person happy at the end of the day. Making them feel comfortable when they feel like giving up. I am proud that I haven't given up this wonderful opportunity. I have been caregiving for 3 1/2 years. It has brought my bond stronger with my grandparents.

I am a great caregiver because I have been successfully been working in this field for over 10 consecutive years. I feel that I am a great caregiver because I am very compassionate about what I do. I love to help people in any way that I can. I feel caregiving is a very fulfilling career, because you actually get to see the progress you are making with your consumers. I become very close with my clients quickly. All of my clients enjoy having me work with them, they like my personality and the fact that I do not waste my time when I'm with them. I have been doing this for 25 plus years, so I must enjoy it. I have never had a complaint from any client in my performance or attitude, in fact I've had just the opposite. I just lost a client to Covid 19 in May that I had worked for privately for almost 4 years, that is how I came to work for the 3 agencies that I work for now. One of my greatest achievements is helping a consumer walk again after working very hard doing his exercises to get him stronger and getting him back in his feet.

What attracted me into being a caregiver is that I love working with & taking care of others. I enjoy most about being a caregiver is I love when I am able to make a difference in someone's life everyday.

My mom is a nurse, she inspired me to follow her steps. I developed a special ability to care for the other and to feel empathy. I am proactive, detail oriented, respectful and organized in my workplace. I enjoy giving care and have a good conversation with my patient if they want to. I had work 3 years in a dementia unit and I have discovered an incredible connection with this population.

I've been working as a caregiver for over 10 years which I very much enjoy. The reason I became a caregiver/ companion is because I was raised by my grandmother and I care about others that is in need of help with everyday living activities. I've been taking care of the elderly for many years that my personal achievement is being dedicated and loyal to a client as she reached her dying day.
